Care Kits for Kids

Our 2nd Care Kits Personal Hygiene collection held in November 2023 was a HUGE success. With the generous donations of community members, area hospitals, LCPSF Board Members, and the help of Walmart Supercenters we were able to fill the shelves at all 6 LCPS high schools. Removing barriers that interfere with student attendance or their ability to learn is crucial. Many of us take for granted the ability to obtain these items, yet for some it is a struggle and one of those barriers. We are glad we could help in removing some of the obstacles and are grateful for the assistance from our community.

The 2024 Care Kits for Kids Collection will kick of on October 14 culminating on November 2.

First, thank you for supporting my classroom! For being a first year teacher it has been difficult to get the supplies I need. By your generous donation I was able to get a much needed easel for my students and I to use for writing. I could not be more thankful for the opportunity and donation

Thank you for your efforts in making these scholarships available to high school graduates. Being recognized with the scholarship based on my academic achievements extracurricular activities and educations goals was truly a gift and a highlight of my senior year.

Thank you so much for the beautifully done dinner recognizing Teacher of the Year, Assistant of the Year, and National Board recipients. It was a very special night having so many people together. Again, I appreciate the evening. It is one that I will never forget.
